How much subsidy you get in U.P.
Under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, the central government pays part of the cost of rooftop solar for homes. Uttar Pradesh adds up to ₹30,000 more. Both are paid directly into your bank account after the system is installed and inspected.

Common questions
Who can apply for PM Surya Ghar subsidy?
Any household with its own electricity connection and a roof suitable for solar panels can apply. The subsidy is for residential homes, and one connection gets it once.
How much roof space do I need?
Roughly 100 square feet of shade-free roof for every 1 kW. A 3 kW system needs about 300 square feet. Flat RCC roofs are the easiest to install on.
When does the subsidy come?
After installation, the DISCOM fits the net meter and inspects the system. Once the inspection report is on the portal, the subsidy is credited directly to your bank account.
Will solar work during a power cut?
A standard on-grid system switches off during a power cut for the safety of line workers. If you want backup during cuts, ask us about a hybrid system with batteries.
Can I pay in EMI?
Yes. Banks offer collateral-free loans for rooftop solar under the scheme. We help you apply and plan an EMI close to your current bill. Approval depends on the bank.
Which panels do you use?
For PM Surya Ghar installations we use made-in-India (DCR) panels, because the subsidy is only paid for systems with DCR panels.
